Hunky Holiday Blog Hop! @ngwngroup #win #prizes

Happy Friday, everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by! Today I'm doing something special, taking part in the Hunky Holiday Blog Hop sponsored by the Nice Girls Writing Naughty author/readers group. Each author in our group is sharing a Christmas themed post about how her hero(es) celebrates the holidays. We are each giving out prizes and there is a *GRAND PRIZE* of a fifty dollar GC! So make sure you leave a comment and visit each of our blogs to be eligible for the big prize!

Today I'm sharing from my upcoming release (coming next Tuesday!) Christmas Candie. It's part of the Nicely Naughty 2 holiday menage anthology. Let me share the blurb with you:

Aidan Callahan loves Christmas. His family makes it a big celebration and he does his best to carry on the tradition. Every ornament on his huge Christmas tree has a story and holds a special memory.

He’s been hooking up for six months with Val Stenzler and would like to get closer to her, including sharing his love of Christmas. But aside from their hot sex sessions, she holds him at arm’s length. What’s the problem?

Val hates Christmas. The most devastating, humiliating event of her life happened at Christmastime two years ago, and she’s still trying to get past it. There’s no room for fruitcake or mistletoe in her life. As far as she’s concerned, the holiday season can’t pass quickly enough.

Christmas suddenly becomes a lot more interesting when Val and Aidan meet Candie Hurley. She’s as sweet as her name, as sparkly as tinsel and as mysterious as the Northern Lights. Aidan and Val both fall under her spell, but will the night they spend with her bring them closer together or tear their relationship apart?

Since Aidan loves Christmas so much, he's all in when it comes to decorations. A large poinsettia sits on his dresser, all the windows in his apartment are graced with twinkling lights, and a big evergreen takes up half his living room. He owns boxes of ornaments and each one holds a special family memory. His family generally decorates the tree on Christmas Eve, but when Val and Candie show up a few days before, he agrees to haul out his collection and let them help decorate.

From Christmas Candie:

They went silent when Aidan returned carrying two boxes. Val took the smaller one and placed it on an armchair, while Aidan set the other box on the sofa.
He opened the large box. “It was a tradition in our family to wait until Christmas Eve to decorate the tree. Guess I’ve held on to that even on my own.”
Candie’s lovely mouth twisted into a frown. “You don’t mind us upsetting it by helping you now?”
“Not at all. It’s good to have friends to do this with. You’re helping me make my own traditions.”
“That’s sweet.” She dipped into the box and pulled out a red-and-silver blown-glass bulb. “Oh, this is beautiful.”
He gazed at the old-fashioned ornament. “That’s a family heirloom. It belonged to my grandmother, and my mom passed it down to me.”
“You hear that, Val? Wow. What else is in there?”
Val listened quietly while Candie marveled at each treasure Aidan uncovered. There was a story attached to almost every ornament in the box. The time the dog chased the cat up the Christmas tree; the year his brother broke his arm and they spent Christmas Eve in the emergency room; the year they all came down with the flu right before the holidays.
“My God, do all your Christmas memories involve catastrophic events?” Val asked.
“Hey, there were four of us boys growing up in that house. Every day there was a catastrophe—hell, every hour, practically. My mom had nerves of steel.”
    “I’ll say.”
“So, Candie, what kind of Christmas memories do you have?” Aidan asked.
Val froze and caught her breath sharply. They’d been having fun, decorating the tree and joking around. She hated for the mood to be broken, for Candie to have to recall her sad memories.
He picked up on Val’s reaction and glanced between the two women. “Sorry. Did I say something wrong?”
Candie shook her head. “No, of course not.” She smiled. “I never had any pets run up the Christmas tree. Never had any pets, except for a goldfish.”
Aidan grinned. “Guess a goldfish can’t cause much trouble.”
    “Yeah, Goldie was pretty mellow.”
Val relaxed with a silent sigh of relief. To help the awkward moment pass, she quipped, “Our cat Ziggy is too fat and lazy to try a stunt like that. For him it would be like climbing Everest. He’s too lazy to even play with the bulbs at the bottom of the tree. He mostly just sleeps underneath it and drinks the water from the tree stand.”
Candie pulled out another ornament. “Oh, look at this little one. How cute.” She held it out for Val to see. It was made of clay, flat on one side like a cookie, and hand painted. “Somebody made this one.”
“I did,” Aidan admitted, his cheeks growing pink. “In second grade. Good old Mom. She hung on to all my crap.”
“Don’t be embarrassed,” Candie told him. “It’s sweet.” She dangled the ornament from her fingers.
“It is cute. A little Christmas dog.” At least Val thought it was a dog. It had a fat body and short legs. “What are those things on its head?”
“Those are horns.” Aidan huffed. “Antlers. Whatever. It’s supposed to be a reindeer.”

#Werewolves Love #Cupcakes! To Mate a Werewolf @KryssieFortune #recipe #PNR

Happy Friday, all! I have a guest today--Kryssie Fortune is here talking about her new release, To Mate a Werewolf. And guess what? She brought cupcakes! Yum yum, all for me. But don't worry, she also brought a recipe so you can make some, too! Happy reading (and eating :-) )!

Sweet Treats Werewolves Love

Hi,
Kryssie Fortune here. I’ve dropped by to tell you about the heroine in my latest book. She discovered werewolves love cake.

Last time I saw her, she gave some of her recipes to share with my friends.
Of course, Ellie never had time for such fancy decorations shown below. The Lykae soldiers always got to her buns before she’d finished

Excerpt

He lifted the book from her hands. “Mom, I think I gave you the wrong idea about Ellie last night.”
His mother flung her arms around him. “Congratulations on your win. Now listen, young man. Ellie's a treasure, and she knows her way around a wood-burning stove. When she offered to take over the catering, I could have kissed her. Goodness knows how she’ll find the time, but she promised to set up tables and benches too. ”
Joel’s shoulders sagged with relief. His mother always judged people correctly, and his clever Ellie had charmed her. She’s mine, but she doesn’t know it yet. A growl rumbled through his throat when he realized she could have any man she chose. One taste of her delicious concoctions, and she had them in the palm of her hand. The only one dumb enough to resist her had been him. The lush contours of her body and the sweet taste of her lips fascinated him. .

Recipe for Ellie’s Cupcake Tower

Ingredients

55g (2oz) Margarine (1/4 cup U.S. measurement)
28g (1oz) Caster Sugar (2 Tbsp U.S. measurement)
55g (2oz) Self Raising Flour (1/4 cup U.S. measurement)
1 egg
1 tsp Baking Powder (1.2 tsp U.S. measurement)
2 tsp Vanilla Essence (2.4 tsp U.S. measurement)

Recipe

1. Mix the flour, sugar, egg and margarine together in a large mixing bowl for two to three minutes until fully combined.

2. To this mixture add the Vanilla essence and Baking powder and stir again until completely mixed.

3. Fill the muffin cases to just over half way.

4. Put in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 190C (180C Fan) Gas 5 until springy and a light golden colour. (For U.S. readers, over temperature should be 375 degrees Fahrenheit.)

Note from Nona: For friends in the states, I converted the ingredient measurements to U.S. standards using http://www.exploratorium.edu/cooking/convert/measurements.html.
Oven temperature conversions were made at: http://www.metric-conversions.org/temperature/celsius-to-fahrenheit.htm

Happy baking!

Beneath the Surface by @DaniWade1 #newrelease #romance

BENEATH THE SURFACE
Small Town Secrets Book 1

Blurb:

Too many secrets…

Hidden in a quiet town along the Tennessee border, a secret gathering exists where the privileged fulfill their darkest desires. One of their members initiates a desperate act designed to bring home his lifelong obsession: Emma Hartwell.

A past not forgotten…

Drawn back to her hometown by the psychic connection with her twin sister, Emma must fight the stubborn silence of those around her in her quest to find her missing sister. Colin McIntyre hopes to make up for his past mistakes with Emma by helping her, but his own ties to the Gathering might be exposed along the way.

Time is running out…

Exposure could be dangerous for his family, along with himself and Emma. Can they fight the secrets and lies to rescue Emma’s sister… and their own chance at life-long love?

Excerpt:

A hard swallow opened up her tight throat. “What are you doing here?” she asked, frowning at the breathlessness of her tone.
“Bob sent me. He got pulled out to a crime scene and he didn’t want you wandering in this neighborhood alone, so he called and asked me to check on you.”
Emma didn’t know whether to be relieved or upset. Part of her wanted to be alone to face whatever was behind that door. She’d gotten used to her independence, standing on her own two feet, which made the part of her grateful for his presence that much more shameful. Raising slightly shaky hands, she smoothed her hair down in a nervous gesture. Surprisingly, all the stress from the last few days hadn’t made it stand up as if electrified.
“I can’t imagine why you would want to,” she said before she even thought about it. Then she drew a deep breath, realizing she’d brought out into the open something that had remained unspoken all day.
Every time they looked at each other, that night long ago rose like a mist between them. Drained from hours of extreme emotion, she simply didn’t have it in her to keep control. She’d trained herself to lock down her emotions and behave in a logical, professional manner. Now, just like before, being near this man had all the emotions that she’d stuffed deep inside bursting to the surface. Especially anger.
Colin moved closer, his height making it seem like he loomed over her. She should be afraid, alone in the dark with a man she barely knew, but none of her self-preservation instincts made a peep. Even in this isolated hallway.
“Emma,” he breathed, the word almost a groan. He moved as if to reach for her but then dropped back, sliding his hands into the hip pockets of his jeans. “Emma, you have every right to hate me. I can’t tell you how many nights I lay awake, kicking myself because I left you like that. I made a stupid mistake, based on youth and wrong assumptions. If I could take it back, change it, I would.”

#Review: Red & Her Big Bad Dom by @Sydneystclaire #erotic #giveaway #GoddessFish

***The author will be giving away a Once Upon a Dom tote bag, mug and other goodies!
Please make sure to scroll down to the link below!***

BLURB:

Wealthy computer genius Graham Winters is in love with a woman who won’t join him for a stingy cup of coffee. How can he prove he’s nothing like her jerk of an ex if she won’t give him a chance? Then he spots her at a BDSM club and devises a plan. During the day, he’s “that damn geek.” At night, he’s the masked Dom known as The Wolf.

When it comes to her love life, Lucy Sanchez has one rule—no geeks. Not even rich, good looking geeks. She’s attracted to Graham but rules are rules. Besides, she has her wolf, the mysterious Dom who makes her blood sing. Then she’s invited to a fairytale event at Pleasure Manor and this Little Red Riding Hood plans to enjoy every delicious moment with her big, bad Dom.

Excerpt:

“Red Riding Hood. Your wolf awaits.”

Lucy stepped forward as did her wolf. He pointed to the ground. Lucy knelt, assuming a submissive posture. Her Dom circled her several times, then stopped in front of her.

He snapped his fingers. “Follow me. The woods await.”

His deep, husky voice with just a hint of an accent vibrated through her, warming her belly and heating her core. It amazed her that his voice alone made her throb. She stood, keeping her head bent, her gaze to the ground. When he whipped around to lead the way, she almost stumbled. Not only was his crotch cut out but so was the seat of his pants.

She stared at the G-string. The black set off his nicely tanned buttocks and was more temptation than she could resist. As soon as they exited through a side door into the garden, she cupped his cheeks, finding the flesh warm and firm. The man most definitely worked out.

He stopped suddenly, eyes narrowed to slits behind his mask. “Did I give you permission to touch?”

Head bowed meekly, Lucy licked her lips. “No, Sir. I’m sorry, Sir. I couldn’t resist. Guess you’ll have to punish me. Sir.”

“Ah, my lovely little sub wants to be punished?”

Lucy shivered. “Oh, yes, Sir. I need to be punished.”

***Nona's Review of Red and Her Big Bad Dom by Sydney St. Claire***

Lucy Sanchez hates geeks. She was married to one who did her wrong and since then, all geeks are off the menu. There’s one guy in her office though, who can’t seem to take a hint--Graham Winters. Though he’s hot and handsome, Lucy’s rule holds firm. No geeks.

Lucy’s not on ice, though. She’s involved in a BDSM relationship with a very sexy Dom who pushes all her buttons. She spends a long fairy-tale themed weekend playing Red to his Big Bad Wolf where all her fantasies are fulfilled. The problem, though, is that she never sees his face and he keeps himself at a distance emotionally. When circumstances force Lucy to spend time with Graham, she finds they have a lot in common and attraction between them grows. But what will she do when she discovers that behind the mask, her Big Bad Dom is really Graham? (I’m not revealing any spoilers here, the reader learns the truth about Graham in the first chapter.)

This was a fun and sexy story. Lucy is a firecracker who knows what she wants sexually and isn’t afraid to go for it. Though she is sexually submissive with her Dom, she’s no pushover. Her verbal sparring with Graham was a lot of fun. I also liked how loyal she was to her shy friend Jaimie. I enjoyed Graham, too. He really kept Lucy on her toes (or should I say on her knees?) but his more tender side was as captivating as his Dominant side.

I thought I knew how the events would play out, but the author threw in a little twist that I didn’t see coming. Let me just say that Lucy’s reaction upon discovering the truth was not what I expected! But I enjoyed the story all the more for that. If you’re looking for an erotic story with steamy BDSM play as well as romance, you will enjoy Red and Her Big Bad Dom. This is the second in Sydney St. Claire’s Once Upon a Dom series--I will definitely be checking out others in the collection.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

Sydney St. Claire is the pseudonym of Susan Edwards, author of 14 Historical Native American/Western/Paranormal romances and the author of the popular “White” Series.

Sydney loves writing and sharing stories of love, happiness and dreams come true with her readers. She credits her mother for her writing success.  Encouraged to read as a child, she always preferred happy endings which meant romances were her favorite genre.  Sydney takes her readers into the world of erotica romance where her characters come together in explosive passion as they solve life’s problems and find true love along with the best sex our hero and heroine have ever experienced.

Sydney’s office is quite crowded with three dogs at her feet and five cats to keep her company while she writes. Three cats always insist on beds on her desk, barely leaving enough room for her monitor and keyboard. Life gets fun when all five insist on supervising…

When not writing, she enjoys crafts of all sorts including quilting, sewing, cross-stitch and knitting. She and her husband of 30 + years are avid gardeners. He takes care of the veggies, and Susan is in charge of the ‘pretties’. Her medicine wheel garden is in a contact state of war: flowers vs. weeds. Sadly, right now the weeds are wining…

While writing, she listens to a wide variety of music. Her current favorites are Blackmore’s Night and David Lanz.

Coming soon: Christmas Candie! #erotic #Christmas #menage

Hi friends, happy Friday!

I have some exciting news--I have a new story coming out shortly. It's part of a Christmas anthology published by Loose Id called Nicely Naughty, volume 2. The other stories are by awesome authors Caitlyn Willows and my fellow Diva Rachell Nichole. I'm excited. :-)

My contribution is called Christmas Candie. Let me share the blurb:

Aidan and Val both fall under her spell, but will the night they spend with her bring them closer together or tear their relationship apart?

This erotic romance novella is an FFM menage. Oh, did I forget to mention all the stories in Nicely Naughty, vol. 2 are menage romances? How could a tidbit like that slip my mind?

This is first time my work has been included in an anthology, and I'm really looking forward to it. Nicely Naughty, vol. 2 is scheduled to release December 16, so mark your calendars! I will definitely keep you posted.

#Newrelease: Don't Let Go by @nonaraines #romance #giveaway #win

Happy Hump Day, all! I have something to smile about today--it's the release day of my new contemporary romance novella, Don't Let Go! To celebrate, I'm offering a $50 GC, so please make sure to scroll *all* the way down to enter!

Blurb:
Annalee wants a no-strings fling. Eric's all about the strings. Twelve years ago, when Eric Sorenson's date dumped him right before the Senior Prom, his older sister’s best friend stepped in to save him from total humiliation. He never forgot Annalee or what she did for him that night…or the kiss they shared. He wants Annalee, and if he has his way, they'll take up where they left off. And this time, he won't let go.

After a messy divorce, Annalee's not looking forward to her high school reunion. She's shocked when Eric appears at her door ready to return the favor and play escort. Gone is the inexperienced boy with a severe stutter—he's a striking, confident man. The memory of the kiss they shared rekindles an attraction that never died, and she's been on her own for a year. Isn't she entitled to kick loose and have a let's-go-crazy night?

Excerpt:
He slid closer until their bodies touched. Heat suffused her, and she grew lightheaded under the intensity of his stare. Her heart beat frantically with fear and excitement. What’s wrong with me? I want him, but it’s been so long.
“I, uh…” Her glance skittered toward the ballroom. “Do you think Dee and Thom are wondering where we’ve gone off to?” Damn it, Annalee. Stop being such a chicken.
“Don’t worry about them.” He lifted her chin and looked into her eyes. Flames raced through Annalee. Her nipples bunched. Dizzy now, she gripped his arm to steady herself. Eric held her close. He wouldn’t let her fall.
“Don’t run away from me, Annalee. This is the first time we’ve both been free, and we have too much unfinished business. We stopped at a kiss twelve years ago. Now’s our chance to make up for lost time.”
Her thoughts whirled while her body hummed with arousal. Her breath stopped as Eric lowered his face to hers. Their lips brushed, then clung.
She’d felt the breadth of his shoulders, the broadness of his chest while they were dancing. How large his hands were when they held her. Now, Eric’s masculine presence completely enveloped her. The boy she knew no longer existed. A grown man stood in his place. Instantly, her hesitation fled and desire roared to life.
She threw her arms around him and crushed herself to him. Lightning crackled down her spine and flared out to her breasts, her lips, the crux of her thighs. Even her fingers and toes. A whiff of lime from his aftershave tickled her nostrils. She opened her mouth to his insistent tongue, as hungry for him as he was for her. As their tongues caressed silkily, she tasted the smoky flavor of scotch.
When they broke the kiss, her softer parts ached, wanting him. She licked her lips, tender from his kiss. “Come home with me tonight. Will you? After the party?”
He laughed softly and lowered his head to kiss the side of her neck. “You mean I need to wait that long?”
Excitement zipped through her. “Anticipation will make it that much sweeter.”
He nodded thoughtfully. “All right.” The low timbre of his voice sent goose bumps prickling her skin. “If I can have a little something to tide me over.”
“All right.” She kissed him again, the aggressor this time, searching for his tongue and inviting it to duel with hers. Annalee was breathless when she pulled away. “Better?”
“Very nice,” he answered. “But I had something else in mind.” Shifting a bit, Eric kept his right arm around her while his left hand settled on her knee. “Something a little more daring.”
