#Newrelease: Write to Me @nonaraines #contemporaryromance exclusive #excerpt

Good morning friends, and happy Wednesday! It's a happy day for me, because I'm proud to announce that my latest contemporary romance novella, Write to Me, is now available from The Wild Rose Press. To celebrate, I'd like to share an exclusive excerpt from the story with you.

Gloria Navarro met and married her soul mate. When he died, she felt she'd never know that kind of love again. But when she finds a love letter between the pages of a book and the man who wrote the missive, she starts to believe lightning might strike twice.

To Bryan Dunn, love is a four-letter word. He doesn't go in for cheap sentiment or hearts-and-flowers. But he wants Gloria, and to get her, he'll let her believe he wrote the silly letter. The longer he's with her, though, the more he cares. If she discovers the truth about him, it just might break the heart he never thought he had.

Excerpt:

Gloria picked up her keys and her purse and was just about to walk her daughter out when someone tapped on the glass door. Both women started. Gloria gasped. Bryan stood on the step outside.
“We’re closed,” Desi said loudly, pointing to the clock on the wall behind the front desk.
“Let him in,” Gloria told her. “I know him.”
Desi gaped at her, then unlocked the door. “Hello?”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to startle you.” Bryan glanced from Desi to Gloria. “I meant to come earlier.”
“Come in, Bryan. This is my daughter, Desiree. Desi, this is Professor Dunn. He teaches…poetry at the college.”
He nodded at Desi. “English Literature and World Lit. How do you do?”
“Hello.” She gave her mother a wide-eyed stare as she stepped back and allowed Bryan into the salon. Her gaze travelled up and down his tall form. Behind Bryan’s back, she gave her mother a nod of approval and a thumb’s up. He’s hot, she mouthed.
Gloria tried to tamp down the excitement skittering up her spine but couldn’t control the way her pulse spiked as Bryan neared. She was afraid she’d have slipped his mind, but he hadn’t forgotten her. Just as she couldn’t forget him. “This is unexpected.”
He reached into his jacket pocket, the same jacket he wore earlier, and pulled out the letter. “I’m here because of this.”
Gloria’s glance bounced from her daughter back to Bryan.
“I still need your help.” His expression was so sincere, his tone so earnest. Did he really need her?
“I don’t know what I can do—”
“Help me write a letter to Courtney.”
His statement punctured her hopes, letting the air out of them. He wanted her to help him win back his lover. She wanted to smack herself for feeling disappointed.
Thinking about him all day had buoyed her mood. She’d told herself it was a chance meeting, a mild flirtation with a handsome stranger. Nothing would come of it. Had she been lying to herself, secretly hoping for more?

#Newrelease: Don't Let Go by @nonaraines #romance #giveaway #win

Happy Hump Day, all! I have something to smile about today--it's the release day of my new contemporary romance novella, Don't Let Go! To celebrate, I'm offering a $50 GC, so please make sure to scroll *all* the way down to enter!

Blurb:
Annalee wants a no-strings fling. Eric's all about the strings. Twelve years ago, when Eric Sorenson's date dumped him right before the Senior Prom, his older sister’s best friend stepped in to save him from total humiliation. He never forgot Annalee or what she did for him that night…or the kiss they shared. He wants Annalee, and if he has his way, they'll take up where they left off. And this time, he won't let go.

After a messy divorce, Annalee's not looking forward to her high school reunion. She's shocked when Eric appears at her door ready to return the favor and play escort. Gone is the inexperienced boy with a severe stutter—he's a striking, confident man. The memory of the kiss they shared rekindles an attraction that never died, and she's been on her own for a year. Isn't she entitled to kick loose and have a let's-go-crazy night?

Excerpt:
He slid closer until their bodies touched. Heat suffused her, and she grew lightheaded under the intensity of his stare. Her heart beat frantically with fear and excitement. What’s wrong with me? I want him, but it’s been so long.
“I, uh…” Her glance skittered toward the ballroom. “Do you think Dee and Thom are wondering where we’ve gone off to?” Damn it, Annalee. Stop being such a chicken.
“Don’t worry about them.” He lifted her chin and looked into her eyes. Flames raced through Annalee. Her nipples bunched. Dizzy now, she gripped his arm to steady herself. Eric held her close. He wouldn’t let her fall.
“Don’t run away from me, Annalee. This is the first time we’ve both been free, and we have too much unfinished business. We stopped at a kiss twelve years ago. Now’s our chance to make up for lost time.”
Her thoughts whirled while her body hummed with arousal. Her breath stopped as Eric lowered his face to hers. Their lips brushed, then clung.
She’d felt the breadth of his shoulders, the broadness of his chest while they were dancing. How large his hands were when they held her. Now, Eric’s masculine presence completely enveloped her. The boy she knew no longer existed. A grown man stood in his place. Instantly, her hesitation fled and desire roared to life.
She threw her arms around him and crushed herself to him. Lightning crackled down her spine and flared out to her breasts, her lips, the crux of her thighs. Even her fingers and toes. A whiff of lime from his aftershave tickled her nostrils. She opened her mouth to his insistent tongue, as hungry for him as he was for her. As their tongues caressed silkily, she tasted the smoky flavor of scotch.
When they broke the kiss, her softer parts ached, wanting him. She licked her lips, tender from his kiss. “Come home with me tonight. Will you? After the party?”
He laughed softly and lowered his head to kiss the side of her neck. “You mean I need to wait that long?”
Excitement zipped through her. “Anticipation will make it that much sweeter.”
He nodded thoughtfully. “All right.” The low timbre of his voice sent goose bumps prickling her skin. “If I can have a little something to tide me over.”
“All right.” She kissed him again, the aggressor this time, searching for his tongue and inviting it to duel with hers. Annalee was breathless when she pulled away. “Better?”
“Very nice,” he answered. “But I had something else in mind.” Shifting a bit, Eric kept his right arm around her while his left hand settled on her knee. “Something a little more daring.”

Read To Me Releases Next Friday! #erotic #romance

Happy Friday, friends! I'm really excited about my new novella, Read to Me. **Cue butterflies in my tummy**

The story release next Friday, May 30, from The Wild Rose Press. It's my first older woman/younger man erotic romance.

At the age of forty-four, Blaise Blankenship believes her own opportunity for romance has long since passed until she accidentally lands in the lap of a sexy stranger. She and the handsome Latino connect over an afternoon at a local bookstore, sharing their love of erotica. Blaise is swept away by an impetuous, hot, "no last names" night together. But the morning after reveals a truth she can't ignore—or avoid.

Please join me next Friday for the Release Day Blitz! In celebration, I'll be sponsoring a giveaway of a $25 GC to Amazon or Barnes & Noble (winner's choice). In the meantime, here's a tiny snippet to wet your whistle:

Blaise shifted in the darkness, gradually becoming aware of the heavy bedclothes and the warm solid body beside her. For a moment, she froze in panic. This wasn’t her room, her bed. A blink later, she remembered where she was and who shared the bed with her.

Thanks to Cupid’s Delight the evening had been most memorable. Twice she and Guy had set the book aside to re-enact an episode from the hero’s delightfully naughty adventures.

Smiling in satisfaction, she rolled his way. It felt so luxurious and decadent to press her naked breasts against his back, nuzzle his neck. His scent mingled with the aroma of sex saturating the room.

Well, that's enough for now! Aww...did I leave you hanging? Goodie! You'll just have to check back with me next week, won't you? :-)

Have a wonderful weekend, all!
