***Nona’s Review of
Sigil Fire by Erzabet Bishop***
This erotic paranormal romance takes place in a world
inhabited by demons, vampires, witches and succubi. Fae, a blood witch who has
also been turned into a vampire, has disturbing dreams of a redheaded who calls
for help. Haunted by these nightmares, she wonders who the woman can be.
Fae’s brother Perry (a vampire) and his partner Charley
(a succubus) are detectives trying to find who is murdering succubi in their
city. Fae is contemptuous of Charley, and all succubi, finding them shallow and
manipulative. She knows this from bitter experience.
Someone else is concerned about the murders. Sonia is a
succubus and fetish model, and several of her friends, including a former
lover, have been murdered. She’s determined to stop the killer before any more
of her loved ones are lost. When Sonia appears at Fae’s tattoo shop for a sigil
(marking for magical intent), Fae recognizes the woman of her dreams.
This was a very erotic story. Fae and Sonia both have
reasons to mistrust each other, but when they get together, their connection
practically made my e-reader melt. I liked that they had to learn to trust each
other and work together to destroy the murderer. I don’t read a lot of this
type of story, but I thought the author did a good job of world building. It
was a dark shadowy world, as in a film noir, but instead of detectives and
femme fatales, it was filled with creatures of the night and the undead.
Sigil
Fire
produced several twists and turns that had me wondering if the two heroines
would succeed in finding their happy ending. If you enjoy dark paranormal
romance with plenty of heat, you will enjoy Sigil Fire.

Thanks Nona! I'm so glad you liked the book. There will be a Sigil Fire holiday story in the anthology Unwrap the Presents from Ylva in December and another dark urban fantasy short in the same world called Written on Skin coming out very soon.
