Merry #Menage #Giveaway Hop!

Hi all, and welcome to the Divas of Desire stop in the Merry Menage Giveaway Hop sponsored by Day Dreaming, My Secret Romance and The Book Tart. I'm taking part in this hop to celebrate the recent release of my FFM ménage romance His and Hers and Hers.

Kyla Denster and Jordan Brougham are passionately in love. Kyla knows she's lucky to have a guy who uses all his tricks to keep her happy in and out of bed. Jordan knows he's lucky to have such a hot, adventurous girlfriend.

But neither of them knows that their best friend, Cassie DeSantis, wants them both. Cassie's painful past has taught her not to wear her heart on her sleeve.  She keeps quiet, afraid that revealing her feelings would mean losing the two people she cares for most.  Things change one night when an impulsive kiss leads to the three of them spending an incredibly hot night together.

When the couple wants more of Cassie, she leaps at the chance to be with them. But problems arise at her insistence that no one mention the L word and when Jordan and Kyla clash over how to deal with disapproving family.  Their triad relationship will only survive if they all stand together to prove that three is the perfect number—when all three are in love.

Not only is the ménage theme of the hop a perfect fit with this story, the holiday theme is as well! The story takes place from just before Halloween to shortly after Christmas and some life-changing events take place for the Jordan, Kyla and Cassie over the Christmas holiday.
Those of us participating in the hop were asked to share something personal about celebrating Christmas. I'm Italian on my father's side and Scandinavian on my mother's. Both cultures have some interesting ways of celebrating the Christmas season.
On Christmas Eve, many Italian and Italian-American families enjoy a buffet of different kinds of seafood. That meal is known as the Feast of the Seven Fishes. Why seven fishes? Well, some say it's because God took seven days to create the universe. Or maybe because there are seven sacraments in the Roman Catholic Church. Or perhaps the explanation, like so many things, will have to remain a mystery.
Something my family often enjoyed Christmas Eve was shrimp, which was a rare treat for us.  A special dish often associated with this feast is salted cod fish or baccalà. I've never had it myself, and to tell the truth am not particularly eager to try. (Hey, I could be wrong, maybe it's very tasty.)

My mother's parents came from Sweden and Denmark and those Scandinavian countries are no slouches either when it comes to Christmas Eve dinner. After a sumptuous meal, which often includes roast pork, duck, goose or ham, rice pudding will be served. Inside the treat is one whole almond or a raisin. Whoever gets the portion with a hidden goodie is given a small gift and promised good luck all year.

A traditional Christmas libation is Gløgg or Glögg. (There seems to be variation of spelling and pronunciation. In our house we pronounced it glug.) This is a beverage made with wine, whiskey and spices and served warm. My mother would make this from my grandfather's recipe.

Here's a recipe that's similar to my grandpa's:

1 bottle of port wine (my mom always used ruby port, but you might prefer something less sweet)
¼ - ½ bottle whiskey
1 cinnamon stick
A few whole cloves
2 – 3 tablespoons sugar (if desired)
1 cup dark raisins
½ cup blanched slivered almonds

Combine the wine, whiskey and spices in a pot and heat on the stove. Once it's hot, remove spices with a slotted spoon and add the raisins and almonds. Serve in small cups with a spoonful of raisins and nuts in each cup (a treat to eat once you've drunk the glogg).

This can be made in advance and stored in wine bottles. It should be reheated to serve.

Yum. Delicious, but it's some powerful stuff!

Now, what's Christmas without gifts? My gift to one lucky commenter is  a $15 gift certificate to Amazon/Barnes and Noble (winner's choice).  This is an international giveaway. To be eligible to win, please do two things:

Five More #Menage #Romances You're Sure to Love!

A couple of weeks ago, I told you a bit about five ménage romances that I loved reading.  In celebration of the recent release of my first ménage romance His and Hers and Hers and in anticipation of the Merry Menage Blog Hop (which I'm taking part in starting tomorrow), today I'm sharing five more erotic ménage romances that I've enjoyed!

LoveSlave for Two by Tymber Dalton MMF
Nevvie works for Tyler and Thomas, a committed couple, and dreams of being more to them than just an employee. She doesn't realize they want her just as badly, and set out to seduce her. But they also become her heroes when her abusive boyfriend escalates his violence. There are BDSM elements in this romance, but don't let the "slave" in the title scare you away. In addition to the total sexiness, this is a very tender romance among three people deeply in love.

RoughRaw and Ready by Lorelei James MMF
Hot cowboys and threesomes! What could be bad? Lorelei James brings her trademark grittiness to this story of Chassie and Trevor, a married couple whose relationship is turned upside down when Trevor's former lover, Edgard, shows up at their ranch. Chassie had no idea of their relationship but after her initial shock figures "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Chassie and Edgard eye each other warily at first, but their relationship develops as Trevor realizes he doesn't want to lose either one of them. Lots of twosome and threesome action in this one!

Unridden by Cat Johnson MFM
Yeehaw! More cowboys! Well, in this case the heroes are bull riders who often share their women. Mustang enjoys the constant flow of women but his buddy Slade is getting a bit bored by it all. They meet romance writer Jenna, who's doing research for her next book, and all three are intrigued and attracted. Jenna needs a bit of wooing, but soon finds herself the meat in a cowboy sandwich.  Slade tries to fight his feelings as they become more serious and Jenna wonders where all this can lead. Mustang is a total man-whore who's just out for fun, but he cracked me up.

Rules of Attraction by India Masters FMF
Friends Anna and Parvoti are so close they're practically sisters, in spite of their differences in style and outlook. Anna is a fashionista magazine writer and Parvoti is a serious minded professor of sexuality. Anna's convinced love is a crock and manages to drag Parvoti into her "research" for her article on the rules of attraction. Anna will have wild monkey sex with study millionaire Jonathan while Parvoti appeals to him with her mind and personality. The trouble is, Parvoti and Jonathan fall for each other while Anna finds her own feelings are engaged. Jonathan thinks neither woman knows about the other. Everyone's hiding something. These are imperfect but intriguing characters and the sex scenes are hawt.

NashvilleValentine by Bethany Michaels MFM
Sybil hates Valentine's Day. Too many bad experiences. Her fellow band mates, Trevor and Marcus, tease her about this. The trouble is, as the dreaded day approaches, Sybil finds herself feeling sexy toward both men. Have they been coming on to her or is it just her imagination? Could the guys be planning a hot surprise and finally give Sybil the Valentine's Day she's always dreamed of? (Aw, come on, you know the answer to that!) This novella offers a great blend of humor and sexiness.

Please stop back tomorrow for my Christmas-themed post on The Merry Menage Blog Hop. I'll be offering a $15 gift certificate to one random commenter.  I'll give you all the details tomorrow!

Have a fabulous Friday,

First up is: The Hero Sandwich by Karyn Gerrard and Gayl Taylor

Can three lonely people keep pain, bitterness, and grief at bay or will emotional fireworks tear down the walls surrounding their hearts?

A wild night of meaningless sex is all best friends Connie Hollingsway and Nicci Sullivan have in mind when they approach a beyond handsome, younger man in the Cougar Cave bar. They soon realize they have taken on more than they bargained for.

Barrett Michaels just found out he was cut from the Double A baseball team he played for. To drown his sorrows and ease his pain, he goes to the Cougar Cave looking for a one-night stand with an experienced, older woman. Imagine his surprise when not one, but two women suggest a night of mind-blowing sensual pleasure with no strings attached.

Can three lonely people keep pain, bitterness, and grief at bay or will emotional fireworks tear down the walls surrounding their hearts?

As far as Connie Hollingsway was concerned, she'd just found the meat filling for her hero sandwich. She cast a quick glance to her best friend, Nicole Sullivan, and amended her statement to our hero sandwich.

Bass from inane techno music reverberated off the wood-paneled walls of the club called the Cougar Cave that she and Nicci were at tonight. Connie's gaze slid back to the man sitting alone in a booth directly across from them and further down the wall. The man, in a word, was perfect. Ascertaining his age was difficult under the flashing strobe lights, plus he sat directly underneath a neon sign for Budweiser, which cast a reddish glow over a stunningly rugged, handsome face. The layered and tousled hair looked as if he had just rolled out of bed. Milk chocolate would be the way she'd describe the color. Like all young guys, he had a scruff of facial hair, but Connie's keen eye could make out the sexy cleft in his perfectly shaped chin. There were six empty beer bottles in front of him, and he'd just waved his arm to the waiter for more. A sly smile curved about Connie's mouth. If man-meat was drunk enough, he may be open and willing to consider her suggestion.

Leaning toward Nicci to talk about her idea, the words died in her throat when man-meat stood, shook off his leather jacket, and hung it on the coat rack attached to the back of the bench seat. He was taller than she first imagined, a few inches over six feet to be sure. A skin tight black T-shirt hugged every valley and plane of his powerful physique. Man-meat was cut, chiseled, honed, and sharpened into hardened precision, enough to rival those marble statues of Greek gods. The T-shirt, tucked into a pair of incredibly tight blue jeans, showed his torso to sculpted perfection. Fabric strained across rock hard thighs, a muscular ass and—Connie's held breath whooshed out in a moan—showed off his impressive package to perfection.

She had to get a closer look.

While his build and his aura evoked a certain maturity, there were no telltale lines fanning out from the eyes to show he may be in his thirties, nor were there heavily cut lines around his mouth. Damn, how young was he? Who cared? He was getting drunk at the Cougar Cave so naturally the man would be interested in an older woman.

Wonder how he would feel about two women?

Woohoo! That sounds mighty hot. :-)

Next we have: To Catch a Fox: Wilder Wood, Book 1 by Raven McAllan

Eleanor may be a lady, but even she knows that there's more than one way to catch a fox…

When Eleanor was told the foxes had returned to Wilderwood, she wondered and hoped it wasn’t just any old foxes. She’d spoken to no one of her week of passion with Alexander and Stanford Foxxe. The Foxxe brothers had warned her about their other lives, but Eleanor had been skeptical until that magical night where they had showed her their true selves. They shifted from human to animal; howled at the moon, and mated with her. Now six years later, the foxes were back. Had they come for her? If they had, would her changed circumstances alter all their plans? How would they cope with what she had become?

Eleanor closed her eyes, rubbed them, blinked, and took a cautious look. If she wasn't peeking at an illusion and that was her erstwhile lovers in front of her, how were they giving an answer to all her thoughts? What was worse, what were they doing, fucking without her?

"Not everything," she said. Perhaps if it is just in my mind, then I can answer myself in an honest fashion. "You seem to have started without me."

She glanced with pointed deliberation at each cock in turn.

"'Tis easy remedied."

The illusion on her left—she knew it to be Alexander—moved toward her. His prick was released from its caress to stand proud and hard, and begged for attention. Its head was engorged and shiny. The length demanded to be touched. Eleanor licked her lips and moved towards it, before she was pushed with gentle determination backwards until she once again was stretched out on the bed. Her chemise was ripped from hem to neck in one sharp movement, the sides drawn apart to reveal her perspiration-covered body. "Our hands are for you alone; our cocks and mouths also," he continued. "Your pleasure is of the foremost concern, ours but to follow once you are sated."

His words soothed her like a warm embrace. Her essence coated her curls afresh, although the phrase 'first concern', gave her pause to smile and raise one eyebrow.

Her heart thumped. She fancied it echoed the noise of the timepiece on the mantle. She gasped as he spread her legs wide. His calloused hands were gentle on her soft skin.

"Later you may touch, now 'tis our turn to do the work. Take hold of the rail."

Ooh, and that sounds nice and spicy, too!

Next up, we have: The Fifth Story by Ivy Bateman

When led into the world of her stories, Bryn finds her secret desires hidden in the darkness and behind every door.

Every day we encounter doors. Some of these doors are open to us and some of them are closed, but when we pass through any door, a different truth or mystery lies beyond the threshold.

The night Bryn is pulled into a world of her own stories by a shadowy being, her reality is changed forever. Souls and danger, hauntingly beautiful witches, sexy and dangerous vampires, a soldier with a dying wish; she knows that each door leads to a story and to outcomes she can't control, but in order to return home, Bryn must complete a set of tasks for the enigmatic and strangely sensual Darkness.

With four stories to enter, four items to retrieve, Bryn takes part in plot points so out of character that she almost loses herself in the tales she's written. More than once she questions her sanity and curses herself for creating such perilous realities, but she always remains focused on her goal; the creation of the fifth story.

She walked quickly around the counter and headed to where the sign indicated where the washrooms were, but she couldn't find the women's room. Then she almost slapped herself with ridiculousness. Who cared if she went into the men's room? She marched over the door and pushed on it. Immediately she fell back. The door was stuck. She pushed on it harder, but could only open it about a foot. Something, or someone, was lying in front of the door. Bryn squeezed her head through the narrow space and looked down at the floor. Coran was lying passed out on the cold tile.

Bryn thought maybe something strange had happened in her story, and Coran was already dead. How lucky would that be? However, she realized that the story hadn't changed that drastically when Coran groaned, revealing that he was very much alive. He rolled over, away from the door.

With his weight suddenly off the door, and Bryn's weight still being pushed against it, the door went flying open. Bryn stumbled and fell into the washroom. None too gracefully, she hit the floor with a satisfying smack, and knocked her head against the tile floor with a hard clunk.

"Ow," she said, as she rolled on her back and pressed her hands against a rapidly rising goose egg on the right side of her head. "Ah" she yelped as the door closed on her foot.

"Are you okay?" asked a voice with a gentle Scottish brogue.

Bryn turned her head and opened her eyes. Coran, who looked like he'd been through a rough time, was leaning over her. His blond hair was a mess and it fell into his gray eyes. He had soot on his face and he smelled, not unpleasantly, of smoke. He gave her a little smile. "My dear, are you all right?" he asked her again.

She smiled in return. She was touched by his concern. The ash on his face and the apparent absence of anyone else in the castle told her she had come into the story not long after the first time she'd entered with Darkness. Coran had every right to ignore her and he really had no time to get involved with a stranger and yet, he didn't seem to be in any rush at all. Instead, he helped Bryn sit up.

As soon as his hands touched her skin, Bryn gasped and felt her heart beat quicken. Coran looked embarrassed and quickly, on unsteady legs, he stood up and got a paper towel. He wet it with warm water and kneeled down a couple feet away from Bryn. He handed her the paper towel. "Your face, it's quite dirty."

"Oh, thanks." Bryn said, trying to avoid looking at him too much. Her heart was pounding in her chest. Why had she written Coran to have this effect on women? "It looks like I'm not the only one that's recently been in a bit of a scrap," he said with a chuckle. Bryn couldn't help beaming at him with amazement. He was just as kind as she'd written him to be. However, if she was correct, this man should be putting all chivalry aside and be searching the castle for Melusine. He should be calling upon the ancient gods to help him in battle with the sea witch, but instead, here he was, watching Bryn wash her face and being concerned about her well-being.

"Is your head very sore? Can you stand?" he asked as he gently touched the bump on her head, but quickly pulled hand back when Bryn sucked in her breath at the feel of his hand on her hair.

"Yes, I mean—no, it's fine, and yes, I can stand," she stammered as she pushed herself off the floor. She again tried to avoid eye contact with him, but it wasn't helping. Coran was having a profound effect on her senses—something which she should have remembered could happen, but had completely forgotten about. In her story, Coran had a powerful effect on women and it was something he could do nothing about. Whether it was his aura or his pheromones, no one could tell, but women, upon meeting Coran, not only couldn't control themselves around him but didn't want to. Their thoughts would travel immediately down a sexual path as soon as they stood close to him and they would offer themselves to his every whim. Even the most reserved women would find their bodies pulsing immediately with desire for the tall blond stranger. Only those who knew how to, could control their passions for Coran. Katie, his assistant, was usually one of them, but sometimes, her guard would slip and she would be overcome with sexual longing for her handsome boss.

Bryn was finding her own guard was slipping rapidly and started thinking about very naughty things and wishing that she had time to explore her hidden bad girl side. Was this happening because she'd written him this way or was it because he looked so much like Tyler?

I absolutely LOVE this concept. Sounds awesome

#Interview with M/M #Romance #Author Kay Berrisford!

Today I have the honor of interviewing fellow Loose Id author Kay Berrisford. She has a new brand book out this week!

Thanks so much for being here today, Kay! Congratulations on your new release Simon, Sex and the Solstice Stone. And thanks for letting me ask you five nosy questions today. Let's get started!

1.   Your latest erotic romance sounds fascinating. Can you tell us more about it?

Well, for a start, it features a lot of al fresco sex—which, given English weather at this time of year, is a bit of a risky activity. Nothing kills passion like the wet and the cold. But don’t worry, there’s plenty of sizzling passion to counteract that.

The story is about a lonely, geeky history student, Simon, who meets the man of his dreams in the middle of a stone circle that he’s studying.  One problem – the amazing guy, Aubrey, claims to be a time traveler from 1647, and despite their mutual attraction, Aubrey’s desperate to get home before Christmas.  What’s more, Aubrey’s method of shifting through time involves outdoor sexual rituals at the stone circle, and shy Simon’s not entirely sure he’s up for it—particularly as he’s trying to resist falling in love with this man who seems desperate just to shag and then leave him. So there’s all sorts of trouble ahead for my guys, particularly when Simon realizes Aubrey’s getting home might just be a matter of life and death.

2.   What is it about M/M romance that appeals to you as an author?

I know a lot of people have long and complex answers to this question, but m/m romance is just where my imagination wants to go. Simple as that.  I’ve always fantasized about two guys together. I love sharing those fantasies and will do so as long as people want to read. That said, I love reading m/f romance and all combinations of ménage, so I’m sure I’ll branch out one of these days.

3.   Besides fantasy and paranormal elements, your romances also contain quite a bit of folklore and history. Is there a lot of research involved?

Oh yes!  I love research—my background is as a historical researcher. When I choose a setting or a theme for a book, I always immerse myself in the relevant literature, and if possible, make time for some little field trips.  My Greenwood novels (Bound to the Beast and Bound for the Forest) are set in a fantasy version of The New Forest, which is an ancient royal hunting ground about fifteen minutes drive from where I live in Hampshire, England. There’s many wonderful and often gory legends associated with the New Forest, including the murder of several kings and princes who imposed the strict hunting laws on the folk of the forest. There are plenty of supernatural theories behind the killings—maybe they were murdered by the fair folk, or even the forest itself? I’ve included some of the tales in my stories, and I like to brainstorm my plots while I’m among the trees.

For Simon, Sex, and the Solstice Stone, I drew on another wonderful body of myths—those surrounding the many stone circles in the south of England, including Stonehenge.  Relatively few made it into the final novella, but it was fun refreshing my memory.  In medieval times, locals often believed that the stones were raucous revelers turned to stone by the devil for having too much fun on a Sunday.  I hate to think what the devil might have done if he’d caught my lads in Sex, Simon, and the Solstice Stone having al fresco sex on a Sunday in the middle of the circle!

4.   On a personal note, your blog mentions that you've brought a new kitty, Siena, into your home (and includes a very cute picture of her, as well). I'm an animal lover, too. Have pets always been a part of your life?

Yay for animal lovers! Funnily enough, Siena, who was a rescue kitty, is the first pet we’ve ever actually gone out and collected. However, yes, pets have always been a part of my life, but they’ve always before come to us.  My first pet—who lives on today—is Archibald, a tortoise.  He turned up in my parent’s garden before I was born.  Nobody claimed him, and he’s been roaming our grass, munching lettuce and cucumber, ever since.
Our second arrival was Florence, our fiercely intelligent black and white cat. Fifteen years ago, homeless Florence laid siege to our house and converted us into lifelong cat lovers. She sadly passed on earlier this year and left us bereft with an empty home, till Siena came to fill the gap.  Having been in a small run at the rescue center for five months, Siena loves her new garden with a passion. She’s learned how to batter her cat-flap open when it’s shut at night—like Florence, she’s one determined moggy, and she loves cuddles.

5. Please tell us what the future holds for Kay Berrisford! Are you working on anything at present that you can share with us?

Right now, I’m working on the third novel in my m/m paranormal Greenwood series—the ones inspired by the myths and legends of the New Forest. The first book in the series, Bound for the Forest, is set in the nineteenth century in the spring; the second, Bound to the Beast, is set in the sixteenth century in the summer.  Number three, provisionally titled Lord of the Forest, is set in the twelfth century in the autumn—so I’m going back in time, but forward through the seasons.

The books can also be read in any order, though certain themes unite them. Now I think of it, one of those themes is al fresco lovemaking, so maybe that is a common theme to all of my books!  Anyway, I’m having great fun writing the medieval period, and while Bound to the Beast was the tale of the brooding, mythical alpha male, Herne the Hunter, Lord of the Forest features another famous Greenwood legend, Robin Hood.

Thank you for letting me drop by, Nona.  Answering these questions has been lots of fun :-)

Thanks again Kay, and much continued success to you!

Simon, Sex, and the Solstice Stone (published by Loose Id, m/m paranormal/time travel, 45k).

Blurb: Simon’s holiday season is looking grim. His boyfriend’s dumped him, and his self-esteem is rock bottom. Stuck in the UK where nobody celebrates Thanksgiving, the shy, geeky student drowns his sorrows at an ancient stone circle. When a gorgeous stranger, Aubrey, shows up and attempts to seduce him, Simon is flattered but also freaked—especially when Aubrey claims to be from an historic sex cult who’d uncovered the true powers of the circle. It’s a time machine. Aubrey intended to travel back three hundred and sixty-five days, but an error propelled him forward three hundred and sixty-five years into a world alien to him.

Simon reluctantly takes the lost time traveler under his wing, and Aubrey teaches Simon the ways of sex, love, and magic. Simon’s never felt so alive, but as their bond grows, Aubrey remains determined to perform a dangerous ritual and return home at the winter solstice. Fearing he’s no more to Aubrey than a sexual sacrifice, Simon must discover the dark secrets of Aubrey’s pagan past. Only then can Simon choose between risking all for the man he loves or a lonely Christmas without him.

Simon pointed. “So what’s your theory on this one?”

This image,” said Aubrey, “symbolizes the relentless shift of time, the sun over the ring.” He slid his hand over Simon’s wrist, and Simon inhaled sharply. He ought to pull away, yet his skin tingled beneath Aubrey’s palm. The world beyond, even the crispness of the rain, seemed to fade. He found himself scrambling closer so he knelt on the Solstice Stone, letting the man manipulate him till Simon’s finger pointed to a carving similar to the first. Here the sun and the stone were bound together by what he took to be curling vines, but the sphere representing the sun had been torn in two.

“This one,” continued Aubrey, “shows us how the power of the Ancestors can tear the very fabric of time and undo the injustices that rip loved ones apart. This is andaga.”

“Eh?” Simon had never read anything about a ritual that tore the fabric of time. Then again, he recalled the words of the naked guy looming over him on this very Solstice Stone well enough. He’d said something about spinning back time, and that set Simon’s nerves jangling. “What evidence supports this theory?”
Aubrey looked to the misted horizon, clenching his jaw against a tremor that shook his body from head to toe. “The power of the Ancients remains alive in this place.”

Simon opened his mouth to snap that he needed a better answer than that, but his words jammed. As Aubrey moved, the lacing that fastened his white shirt fell loose, revealing a physique chiseled to lean perfection by either gym or hard labor, his carved chest adorned with soggy golden curls.

Simon’s throat tightened. So did his groin. Aubrey slid his gaze to Simon and lowered his lashes. He seemed to be begging a silent question, but Simon could not even start to comprehend.

“But let’s forget time tearing,” murmured Aubrey.

He stroked Simon’s sodden brown hair from where it had clumped across his eye, and Simon’s usually sharp mind dissolved to mush. He could hardly remember how to breathe. The man slid featherlight fingertips down Simon’s smoothly shaven cheek, setting his skin aflame and doing nothing to dissipate his growing hard-on. Simon sent a final, desperate message to his fingers to swipe the man away; he needed to say something, anything.

Next thing he knew, the man grabbed him and kissed him hard.

For a blissful moment Simon surrendered, and his senses reeled under the onslaught. Aubrey plundered deep into Simon’s mouth, and Simon slid his tongue against Aubrey’s, hot and slick in contrast to the chill of their skin, willing him to intensify their coupling. Aubrey worked the kiss like his life depended on it, scrubbing his coarse stubble against Simon’s chin. Simon relished the sensation even as the man’s hunger astounded him. Aubrey’s hands trembled as he splayed them across Simon’s back. Then he balled fists in the fabric of Simon’s coat as if he were a drowning mariner grasping a rope from the shore. Their bodies notched together so naturally, and something Aubrey wore—a belt, maybe, concealed beneath his clothes—dug into Simon’s stomach. Simon shifted, looping his arms about the man’s neck, his knee nudging between Aubrey’s. He reveled in the hardness of the man’s thighs, and—oh yes. The length of Aubrey’s cock pressed against Simon’s leg, with only Simon’s tight, wet jeans and Aubrey’s loose clothing between them.

What in heaven, hell, or any realm in between could have possessed this cross between a god and a soggy wolf pup to kiss him? And at a time like this?

Aubrey’s frenzy proved infectious; Simon grew needier by the second. Some awesome power bound them together, as surely as the carved vines wound about that phallic stone. His cock stiffened for this guy, his contact-starved body screaming for more, so much more. Aubrey lowered Simon till he lay flat on the stone, and Simon could not resist. He feared this strange man, but with fear came thrill—an awakening of desires that, since his experience at this very spot, he’d dared visit only in the dusky realm between nightmares and dreams.

Aubrey broke away, both of them panted. Aubrey cupped Simon’s face and whispered in his ear. “That’s just the start of our offering, Simon. Shall we show the Ancestors how much we adore them?”

Simon gazed up at him, so turned on the man’s words were hard to comprehend. With Pete sex had been so complicated. They’d spent more time arguing about who should do what than they had actually doing it. With Aubrey their conjoined desires grew so stark that Simon bit his tongue against vocalizing his darkest cravings.

I want you to fuck me here and now. To heaven and back on the Solstice Stone.

Aubrey pulled away a moment, raking his hair—and Simon suddenly realized what had pressed into him as they embraced. Aubrey indeed wore a belt. It had shifted around as they’d kissed to reveal an old-fashioned dagger sheathed in black leather.

    His common sense became deafening.

He didn’t fuck strangers, let alone ones who carried knives. Maybe he was finally starting to understand what he’d seen last Christmas. It had been a premonition.

The Ancestors warning him never to lie beneath another man on the Solstice Stone.

“Shit!” he yelped. “Get away from me!”

#NewRelease Day for Nona's FFM #Erotic #Menage and a #Giveaway!

Good morning, everyone!

I'm proud to announce that my new novella  His and Hers and Hers is released today by Loose Id. In celebration of that, I'm giving away a digital copy of the story and a $10 Amazon or Barnes and Noble gift card to a random commenter. To be entered in the contest, please just leave your email address in the comments section of the blog and that's it! No muss, no fuss, as simple as a dimple!

Without stopping to think, she lifted both hands to Kyla’s face and placed her lips softly on that lovely full mouth. Ky’s lips were just as soft and delicious as she imagined.
When she pulled back, Kyla gave her a baffled smile, her expression asking What just happened? Then she touched her tongue to her lips, as though tasting a new flavor of ice cream and trying to decide if she liked it.
Jordan stared at them. He’d picked up her phone from the floor and held it in his hand. All three of them were frozen.
Kyla broke the spell. She closed the gap between them and hungrily returned the kiss. It was soft, sensuous but insistent. Like Kyla. Ky used her tongue to tickle Cassie’s lips, urging them to open. Cassie flung her arms around Kyla, crushing her close, pressing their fronts together. This is how she kisses Jordan. Her pussy flooded.
Their tongues played, sometimes sliding together sinuously, sometimes dueling teasingly. Cassie could have gone on forever, but Kyla broke off the kiss, just as she’d initiated it. She pushed her hair back, licked her lips, and at looked at Jordan. “You good?”
He was as motionless as the Tin Man when Dorothy found him. “Wow,” was all he could say.
“You okay with this, babe?” Kyla focused on her man. She wouldn’t go on without his consent. A barb of jealousy pricked Cassie. No, it wasn’t jealousy. It was loneliness, knowing they came first with each other and she was only the add-on.
They waited, the room so quiet that Cassie heard him swallow. “Yeah.” Jordan’s voice was something between a purr and a growl. “Hell, yeah. You girls knock yourselves out.”

Don't forget to leave your email info in the comments for a chance to win!  The winner will be selected by Monday November 26 9:00 pm EST. Thanks everyone, and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

#Interview with #erotic #author Kara Leigh Miller and #giveaway!

Happy Friday, everyone! Today I have the pleasure of welcoming Kara Leigh Miller, author of the erotic romances Love By Number and Never Date a Cop

Hi Kara Leigh! Thanks so much for being here today. And congratulations on the awesome success of your novella Never Date a Cop. It reached the Number One spot on Amazon the day it was offered for a free download! In keeping with my Five for Friday meme, you've agreed to let me ask you five nosy questions. So let's get started!

 1.   Not all your readers may realize that you are a wife and the mother of five children. With all that responsibility, how do you manage to find time to write?

It's much easier finding time to write now than it was a year ago. My husband just took a new job and is on the road a lot so he's not home much anymore. And all of my kids are now in school (WOO HOO!) so I pretty much have all day to write. I also bring my laptop to bed most nights and write once all the kids are sleeping.

2.  What made you decide to write romances with blistering hot explicit love scenes rather than those that take place "behind closed doors"?

The short answer: Because I wanted to see if I could. lol. Seriously though, writing "behind closed doors" sex is just so boring. Sex is such an intimate act between two people—it can bond them or tear them apart. Romance novels are all about the relationship between the hero and heroine so why not explore, in detail, their bedroom activity? It just seemed like the sensible thing to do.

 3.   We all love a love story, especially if it's true!  If you don't mind sharing, how did you and your husband meet, and how did you know he was "the one"?

We were in college. I was a full-time student during the day and he was a part-time student in the evenings. I had a friend name Kari who was seeing this guy named Luke. The two of them thought it'd be fun to set me up with a guy Luke worked with. I was at the tail end of a pretty nasty divorce at the time and they felt it'd cheer me up to meet someone new. Anyway, John and I started with phone calls and then progressed to lunch dates until John decided to throw me a birthday party, which was very sweet of him.  That party would make great material for a novel. lol. And before you ask, no, I'm not sharing what happened at that party. ;)

There are two things I vividly remember that clued me into the fact that he was "the one". First, he accepted me and all my baggage (ex-husband and two small kids) with no questions asked. He was great with my two daughters and they took to him immediately. And he was my rock during some of the nastier custody-court issues I was dealing with.

Secondly, after our first kiss, which was beneath a tree in a local park, I wouldn't look at him. I don't know why, but I was suddenly very nervous around him. At that moment something clicked for me. I thought, "Hmm, this has never happened to me before. It must mean something."

Ten years later we're still together.

4.  In Love by Number, Ashleigh falls for Ryan even though it goes against her "no fraternization" rule. In Never Date a Cop, Kynlee goes after Cooper , breaking her own rule to, well, never date a cop.  Have you ever broken a rule (your own or someone else's), and how did it turn out?

I have to admit, I never noticed this recurring theme in my stories until you just pointed it out. lol. It's odd, really, that I write about people breaking rules because that is so totally opposite of who I am. I've always been a rule-follower and I rarely break them for fear of getting into trouble or fear of confrontation—which I always try to avoid.
I used to break my parent's rules. Does that count? There were plenty of times I was told not to do something and I did it anyway---like sneaking out of my friends' houses, riding in cars with boys, etc. I only got caught once and was grounded for a month. That didn't stop me though. I just learned to get more creative with how I did things.

 5.  What's next for Kara Leigh Miller? Please fill us in on any upcoming stories or other exciting news for the future!

I have some very exciting things coming up! First and foremost, Love on the Rocks (The Aurora Island Resort Series #2) is being released later this month. This is the story of Ashleigh's brother, Jeff and his quest to right his past wrongs and find love. It takes place during Ashleigh and Ryan's wedding. It was a lot of fun to tell this story and revisit some old friends.

Love at the Edge (The Aurora Island Resort Series #3) is under contract and should be released either December of this year or January of 2013. This is Vince's story—Ashleigh's best friend. I think of all the books in this series, this one is my favorite. For now, anyway. I have plans to write two more books in this series.

I've also just contracted for my first full-length novel entitled Death of a Waterfall. It's the first in the Hayden Falls Trilogy. At its heart, it's a romance, but it's also dark. It deals with some pretty messed up family dynamics, an unhealthy relationship, and forced abortion.  It'll be out in both ebook and print format next year.

My YA Contemporary Romance, The Georgia Corbins, is also now contracted and will be available in print and ebook early next year. This is the story of fraternal twins, Levi and Tucker Corbin. It's a love triangle at its best.

I'm also working on a new erotic novella with a hint of horror to it. I'm still in the very early stages of writing this so I don't have a title and can't really tell you much about it yet. lol.

You sure have a lot coming up. That's great. Thanks again, Kara Leigh, and much continued success to you!

Thank you for having me here today, Nona. It was a lot of fun. If it's okay, I'd like to offer one lucky commenter a FREE PDF copy of Love on the Rocks (The Aurora Island Resort Series #2) as soon as it's released!  All you have to do is leave a comment and an email address so I can contact you.
